Un beau petit bateau dans on jus et plein de promesses.

MENGEL PLAYTHINGS
CLOCKWORK SPEEDBOAT “MISS AMERICA” 1930’s
Boat from the 1930’s from the famous ( Mahogany and Brass ) Mengel Playthings Co., Louisville, Kentucky, mahogany hull with brass fittings including wind-up mechanism, speed adjustment screw, rudder, and propeller, with “Mengel Playthings” maker’s decal, mounted on a mahogany stand. In 1920, inventor and mechanic Gar Wood of Detroit took his Miss America I speedboat to England to compete for the Harmsworth Trophy (the equivalent of today’s America’s Cup), and won for America for the first time. He went on to win the trophy eight times. In 1931, the Miss America IX became the first boat to reach 100 mph. This 1930’s clockwork replica model boat size: 14″ long . Crackling is normal wear at this age and the clockwork mechanism is now restored to an excellent working order ,

Bel objet ! Sûrement un navire à suce tentation dit namique, vu la position de l'hélice !!!!!!!

Pour Lagaffe ce sera un zéro de moins. Je ne paie pas l'ISF comme KBIO ! Bel objet en tous cas.
