Moteur Richard Davis 1920
Salut!
Cordialement.
AN INTERESTING TWO CYLINDER MODEL MARINE TYPE STEAM ENGINE
WITH AN UNUSUAL VALVE ARRANGEMENT CA. 1920
Made sometime in the 1920's by Richard Davis, this two cylinder steam engine has an unusual valve arrangement and was probably intended to be used as a model boat engine. It's very well made - the body is aluminium - and it runs well on low pressure compressed air. The valve arrangement is unusual in that the valve chest is at the top of the engine and the valves are operated through several right angle bevel gears. The engine is capable of quite high speeds. It measures 4" long (counting the shaft ends), 2-1/2 " wide and about 3-3/4" high. The flywheel is 2" in diameter. The engine mounting holes are arranged so that the engine will sit deep in the hull.
It can be seen running here: https://youtu.be/b7HMH95Hv_8
10 cm Long x 6.35 Large x 11.5 cm Haut .
