Re: Lady Enid de Roy!
Bonjour!
Des informations intéressantes sur cette machine rapide:
Here,s a photo of Bowman Luton BM valveless marine engine , parts
1/2" Bore by a very short stroke of 5/8" making a very fast and very light
Engine , used on tether boats with Flash steam in the in mid 1940's
Extreamly rare, production for one year only ,1946 - 47'
Note the slits in the pistons, as go and down the pistons are rotating
To achieve the operation of the inlet and out let ,
Achieving a true valveless marine engine, believed to be the first
Valveless engine at that time,
To modern for its day , and steam boat's failed to appreciate
Its revolutionary design.
Making it a very extremely rare engine
Prices are always going up in valve for a good original
Untouch working example.
